COMMISSION ON PUBLIC WORKS/UTILITIES
COUNCIL ROOM
DECEMBER 28, 2021
6:45 P.M.
The Commission on Public Works/Utilities met in regular session, Chair Clough presiding.
On roll call: all members present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were declared approved.
Director of Public Works Friemoth reported no burials at the Cemetery, organizing and
assembling shelving in the new Cemetery building, snow removal, storm clean up, salting
and sanding streets, repairing Christmas decorations, hauling brush, equipment
maintenance-trucks and snowblowers, Water Department-daily testing and maintenance,
utility locates, filter plant maintenance, organizing and cleaning-office, shop and
outbuildings, meter reading and follow-ups, meter change outs and repairs, Sewer
Department-lift station maintenance, completed and submitted monthly DNR reports,
cleaned effluent channel, reminder not to throw or blow snow into the street, due to the
recent snowstorms the City crew will have vacation time to carry over into next year, the
Water Department has purchased a chop saw with partial funding from the League of
Wisconsin Municipalities 2021 Safety Equipment Grant.
Motion Murphy, second Neville, that Water Bills Nos. 278 to 300 in the amount of
$19,075.74 and Sewer Bills Nos. 208 to 223 in the amount of $18,590.81 be paid. All Aye.
Motion Counsell, second Harnish, to adjourn. All Aye.

7:00 P.M.
The Common Council met in regular session, Mayor Murphy presiding. On roll call: all
members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
The minutes of the previous meetings were declared approved.
Council Member Neville reported on the December 16, 2021 meeting of the Neillsville
Community Fire Hall Board regarding: 1) payment of bills, 2) current activities, 3) approved
payment of the 2022 operating and capital budget support payments by March 31, 2022.
Council Member Clough reported on the December 28, 2021 meeting of the Commission on
Public Works/Utilities regarding: 1) current activities and 2) payment of bills.
Mayor Murphy declared all reports as filed as presented with the City Clerk.
Council Member Counsell thanked the Beautification Committee for it’s work in decorating
the City, the decorations look very, very nice this year.
Hotel/Motel Room Tax Permit Application:
Black Water Lodges, Beth Darst, Agent, 1214, 1216, 1218 W. Fourth Street
Motion Clough, second Counsell, to grant. All Aye.
Motion Harnisch, second Perrine, that City Bills Nos. 1192 to 1239 in the amount of
$156,413.60 be paid. All Aye.
Motion Counsell, second Perrine, to adjourn. All Aye.
