Approval
PRIDE Team Mrs. Dilly gave an overview: Informational.
Update • Assumed chairperson role in November. Have added 7 new staff members since that time.
• Have added back doing popcorn once a month and rotating the machine through various departments to encourage
visiting with other staff.
• Biggest Winner challenge – focus on overall general health. Runs January – early May.
• Held an employee jeans day in exchange for men’s clothing drive for BHU unit last week. Went very well!
• Working on ways to include clinic staff more with PRIDE day activities. Holly will be rounding on the clinics monthly.
• Created flyers to promote more employee engagement in PRIDE activities (ex. Shining Star, Galaxy award, etc).
Encouraging each staff member to submit at least 1 fellow staff member this month.
Open Positions • Reviewed the most recent job posting. Updated weekly by HR. There are a few positions in transition, but are not Informational.
Review removed from the posting until employee has started.
• Open first 3 days internally, then goes public.
Mrs. Thompson inquired about the amount of positions & was this usual? Mrs. Collier noted that the current list has been
the average recently. Most critical areas – performance therapy (currently have offer pending for OT); PCMH coordinator
and data analyst. Nursing and clinic staff are always a struggle. MRI tech – still searching.
Recruitment • Physician Recruitment – FPOB candidates, OBGYN, and Ortho. Informational.
• Nursing: engaged aggressively over the last year with Crowder & Ft Scott CC. Implemented a student assist program.
Have started conversations with PSU and MSSU, however they are difficult recruit due to Freeman/Mercy pipelines. Have
had approx. 11 students recently come through that we have been working with to recruit/keep after they graduate.
Some of them do take advantage of the tuition reimbursement program. Ft Scott is not accepting students for their fall
semester; this will be their last semester.
• How many students coming to work upon graduation? Currently 2 in May; 2 graduated in December. 2 LPN’s finishing
up requirements.
• Positions are posted internally, through email, and posted on website.
Applicant Stack • Once applied, HR rep gets to Manager, etc within a day. Manager review takes the longest in process; background checks
Report are on average 10 days turnaround. HR rep has been doing 1:1 orientations when needed outside of the regular bi-
weekly orientations. Receive approx. 50 applications per month.
