3. CONSENT AGENDA
All items listed below are considered to be routine and non-controversial by the City Council
and will be approved by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items
unless a Councilmember or citizen so requests, in which case the item will be removed from
the consent agenda and considered as part of the normal order of business.
Resolutions & Action Items
A) Approval of the appointment of Councilmember Harry 20-447
Bowers to be the chair of the Mayor’s Higher Education
Task Force.

B) Approval of a contract with Sullivan Contracting Services 20-436
under Choice Partners Cooperative Contract and
appropriate budget amendment for the restoration of the
façade walls around the downtown restroom facility to
include vegetation removal, pressure washing, mortar
repair, and painting and authority for the City Manager
to approve any changes up to the contingency amount
for project expenditures.

C) Approval of a purchase with Angel Armor, LLC for 20-442
bulletproof vests for the New Braunfels Police
Department utilizing U.S. Department of Justice FY 2019
Bulletproof Vest Partnership program grant funding and

D) Approval for roof replacement at Westside Community 20-433
Center by A-Lert Roof Systems, on behalf of the New
Braunfels Public Library, utilizing Community
Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) program funding.

E) Approval of the Arts Commission recommendations for 20-428
allocating grant awards from hotel occupancy tax to
various arts organizations of the City and authorizing the

disbursement and use of funding.

F) Approval of the Heritage Commission recommendations 20-429

G) Approval of the second and final reading of an ordinance 20-439
regarding the limited purpose annexation of
approximately 9.7 acres of land, consisting of Lots 1
through 7, Veramendi Precinct 15A Neighborhood Center
Subdivision.

4. INDIVIDUAL ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
A) Discuss and consider approval of the second and final 20-437
reading of an ordinance regarding the proposed rezoning
to apply a Special Use Permit to allow the short term
rental of both dwelling units in a two-family structure in
the C-3 Commercial District, addressed at 1643 and
1645 McQueeney Road.

B) Discuss and consider a waiver to Section 118-49 of the 20-438
Subdivision Platting Ordinance to not require sidewalk
construction along IH-35 and Stolte Road for the Stolte
Subdivision.

In accordance with Texas Government Code, Subchapter D, the City Council may convene in a
closed session to discuss any of the following items; any final action or vote taken will be in
public.
