FINAL - MINUTES OF THE NEW BRAUNFELS CITY COUNCIL - EXECUTIVE SESSION REGULAR MEETING OF TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2024 AGENDA CALL TO ORDER Mayor Linnartz called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. CALL OF ROLL: CITY SECRETARY Mayor Pro Tem Campos and Councilmember Edwards arrived sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Present 5 - Mayor Neal Linnartz, Councilmember Christopher Willis, Councilmember Lawrence Spradley, Councilmember Mary Ann Labowski, and Councilmember April Ryan Absent 2 - Mayor Pro Tem Andres Campos, and Councilmember D. Lee Edwards 1. EXECUTIVE SESSIONS In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Ch. 551, the City Council may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the items listed below. Any final action or vote on any executive session item will be taken in open session. A) Deliberate the appointment, evaluation, duties, discipline, or removal of the Municipal Court Judge, City Attorney, and City Manager in accordance with Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. Mayor Linnartz read the aforementioned executive session item. Mayor Linnartz recessed into executive session at 5:03 p.m. 2. IF NECESSARY, RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION AND TAKE ANY ACTION RELATING TO THE EXECUTIVE SESSION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. Mayor Linnartz reconvened into open session at 5:52 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Campos made a motion to adopt a vote of confidence for Municipal Court Judge Rose Zamora by increasing her annual salary to $157,482. Councilmember Ryan seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
