REGULAR MEETING OF MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2023
AGENDA
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Brockman called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
CALL OF ROLL: CITY SECRETARY
Present 7 - Mayor Rusty Brockman, Councilmember Andres Campos,
Councilmember Christopher Willis, Mayor Pro Tem Harry
Bowers, Councilmember Lawrence Spradley, Councilmember
Jason Hurta, and Councilmember James Blakey
INVOCATION: COUNCILMEMBER BLAKEY
Councilmember Blakey provided the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & SALUTE TO THE TEXAS FLAG
Mayor Brockman led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Salute to the
Texas Flag.
1. PRESENTATIONS
A) Presentation and annual benchmark updates from the Chamber of
Commerce.
Mayor Brockman read the aforementioned item.
Jonathon Packard presented this item providing a PowerPoint and
addressed questions from Council.
No action was taken at this time.
B) Presentation and update on Capital Projects.
Mayor Brockman read the aforementioned item.
Garry Ford presented this item providing a PowerPoint and addressed
questions from Council.
No action taken at this time.
Monday, February 20, 2023 New Braunfels City Council - Special Regular Meeting
C) Presentation and direction to staff to amend the existing Golf Carts
and Neighborhood Electric Vehicles ordinance to include other
Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles.
Mayor Brockman read the aforementioned item.
Greg Malatek presented this item presenting a PowerPoint and
addressed questions from Council.
The following individual spoke at this time: Carly Farmer
Council gave direction to add horns and adjust fines.
No action taken at this time.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION
In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Ch. 551, the
City Council may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the items listed on
this agenda. Any final action or vote on any executive session item will be taken in
open session.
No items were addressed in executive session.
3. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION AND TAKE ANY NECESSARY
ACTION RELATING TO THE EXECUTIVE SESSION AS DESCRIBED
ABOVE.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
