REGULAR MEETING OF THURSDAY, AUGUST 10, 2023
AGENDA
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Linnartz called the meeting to order at 4:33 p.m.
CALL OF ROLL: CITY SECRETARY
Present 6 - Mayor Neal Linnartz, Councilmember Andres Campos,
Councilmember Christopher Willis, Mayor Pro Tem Harry
Bowers, Councilmember Lawrence Spradley, and
Councilmember Mary Ann Labowski
Absent 1 - Councilmember April Ryan
INVOCATION: COUNCILMEMBER SPRADLEY
Councilmember Spradley provided the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & SALUTE TO THE TEXAS FLAG
Mayor Linnartz led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Salute to the
Texas Flag.
1. WORKSHOP
A) Discuss and consider possible action regarding the Fiscal Year 2024
Proposed Budget and Plan of Municipal Services and the proposed
2023 tax rate and announce public hearings.
Mayor Linnartz read the aforementioned item.
Robert Camareno introduced the item to council.
Jared Werner presented the debt service fund using a powerpoint and
answered questions.
Jordan Matney presented the enterprise fund using a powerpoint and
answered questions.
Mayor Linnartz announced the next public hearings for the proposed
FY 2024 budget.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Thursday, August 10, 2023 New Braunfels City Council - Special Regular Meeting
In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Ch. 551, the
City Council may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the items listed on
this agenda. Any final action or vote on any executive session item will be taken in
open session.
There were no executive session items at this time.
3. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION AND TAKE ANY NECESSARY
ACTION RELATING TO THE EXECUTIVE SESSION AS DESCRIBED
ABOVE.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Linnartz adjourned at 5:43 p.m.
