CITY OF NEW MEADOWS PARKS & RECREATION MEETING MINUTES
HELD MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2025 AT 6:00 P.M.
IN CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 101 S COMMERCIAL AVENUE, NEW MEADOWS
ROLL CALL / PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Committee Members Joe Sullivan, and Angie Mettie were present, as was Mayor Julie Good.
The meeting was opened at 6:00 P.M.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
Christmas Event – December 7th
The Committee finalized details for the Christmas event, which included a craft at the library, hay
ride, tree lighting, music, and snacks. Fire pits will be obtained and Smores packets will be
available for roasting on the fire. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos.
Youth Basketball
The Committee discussed youth basketball, which currently does not have an entity as an
umbrella. A few Youth Advocacy Coalition members expressed interest in taking the program
under their wing. Their decision will be discussed at an upcoming meeting. Parks and Rec can
then decide if they would like to take over this program.
Bike-A-Thon Winners
Mayor Good stated that she will pick out bikes so that winners of the bike-a-thon can choose from
them. A generous donor has paid for the bikes. Winners were Wilson Ingle and Parker Hill.
Future Meeting Topics
Future meeting topics include summer baseball, youth basketball, summer schedule of events,
fundraisers, and a possible open mic / music event.
ACTION ITEMS
November 3, 2025 Meeting Minutes
Committee Member Sullivan moved to approve the November 3, 2025 meeting minutes;
Committee Member Mettie seconded the motion. Voice Vote indicated no opposition to
the motion with all members signifying yes. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 P.M.
