Affordable Housing Board Terry Dolan, Chair John Giralico Adele Ruger Deacon Bill Mennenga Deputy Clerk: Nicole MacLean SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA Held at Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Ave. First Floor Meeting Room Wednesday, May 15, 2024 @ 5:00 PM Approval of Minutes: ● March 27, 2024 Draft Meeting Minutes New Business New Paltz Apartments (NYS Route 32 South & 21 Cross Creek Road ● Discussion with Passero Associates (engineering/architecture firm) for an introduction to PeakMade Real Estate (property development and management company that specializes in student housing communities). This is a workshop to understand how the student housing and affordable housing components will be integrated to meet the requirements of the law. In particular, how the affordable units will be offered, managed and certified in perpetuity to the benefit of the community, not just students. Follow up/FYI: ● Amendments to the code, Chapter 132 Housing, Affordable. At the May 8, 2024 Village Board meeting Deputy Mayor Alex Wojcik notes that she is working on some additional edits to Chapter 132, based on the original Chapter 132. Some sections were removed from the original chapter that she believes are important to consider. This will happen after the current amendments are passed. ● The draft housing board report was presented at the January 24, 2024 Village Board meeting. Mayor Tim Rogers spoke about the draft Housing Board Report presented and notes that the Chair of the Housing Board will speak about the report at a later date.
