Special Council Meeting – July 18th, 2022 Members Present Staff Present Others Present Gail Schmidt Anthony Martens – City Administrator Jessica Lutgens Chad Neitzel Eli Lutgens Loren Skelton Jason Casey Members Absent Jody Wynnemer The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gail Schmidt at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call - All members present except Jody Wynnemer Pledge of Allegiance Approval of Agenda Motion made by Loren Skelton and seconded by Chad Neitzel to approve the agenda. Carried. (3 yes, 0 no) 1. Motion was made by Chad Neitzel and seconded by Loren Skelton to accept the resignation of Josh Knudtson, Chief of Police. Carried. (3 yes, 0 no) 2. Administrator Martens provided a current job description along with benefits documentation and a sample job posting for the Chief of Police position. Council discussed many options including the possibility of Officer Bruegger acting as interim chief. a. Motion was made by Jason Casey and seconded by Loren Skelton to authorize the City Administrator to post the job as presented and to provide an update at the July 25th council meeting. Carried.
