1. Call to Order
Meeting was called to order by Chair LaCourse.
2. Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Barb Dietz and seconded by Chris Dalton to approve the April 19, 2023
meeting minutes. All ayes and carried.
3. Discussion
3.1 Ridership Report. April – 334 rides, May – 276 rides, June – 321 rides, July 393 rides, August
390 rides, September to date - 109 rides. Averaging a passenger and a half per hour.
3.2 Marketing Discussion. There is concern with low ridership on Saturdays and discussion on
advertising to increase Saturday ridership. Thoughts to do a marketing push to promote the
Saturday route. Using businesses along the route and Chamber as advertising partners. Working
with MLC to promote the route.
3.3 Advertising Insert Review. Flyers continue to be utilized and filled around once a month. The
flyers are being used.
3.4 Bench Report. Discussion on sources of funding for a bench at Emerson Union Apartments.
The Optimist Club is interested in bench donation. Proposed location would be near the
Northwest entrance of the building, placed on existing bituminous pavement. If a future rider
shelter is built the bench would be able to be relocated to a different stop.
3.5 Permanent Signage. The temporary signage will be touched up and re-fastened. This will
continue until permanent signage is installed.
3.6 Lead Driver Update. Shared appreciation from riders, bus is getting new riders from time to
time. When the full route with additional busses is implemented, there may be an opportunity to
add additional stops. Additional new driver has been hired. Discussion on snow removal

consideration at stops of Linderhoff, Oakwood Estates, Traulich Estates & Hermann Heights.
Will be some route disruptions due to Polar Plunge and hope to have the bus in the parade of
lights.
3.7 Other Discussion. Bus is being utilized and organizations are benefitting from having the
route within the City.
4. Next Meeting Date
The next meeting date was set for Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 12:00 p.m.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
