2. Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Eric Warmka and seconded by Chris Dalton to approve the March 13,
2024 meeting minutes. All ayes and carried.
3. Discussion
3.1 Lead Driver Update: Sarah Berg gave a ridership update: January to mid-June 2,378 rides as
of 6/11/2024, about 600 more rides compared to this time last year. New bus has been well
received. Downtown routes will be adjusted for events that are scheduled to occur downtown,
will share changes with riders. Looking at software vendors to assist with the fixed route
tracking. Will be taking to the County Board for consideration is a grant application for the
software, 80% costs would be covered if the grant was to be awarded. Shared experience with
non-local ridership.
3.2 Additional Buses Update: City cost share is $17,415.00. Bus was delivered in April. Riders
are enjoying the new bus. Old bus will be kept as a back-up.
3.3 2023 City Expenses: Final City expenditures in 2023 was $5,148.06, which was paid by the
City. This includes three months’ worth of free ridership. This amount is expected to be lower
for 2024 when considering the introductory free rides.
3.4 Route Updates: No changes to the route. Working through the construction detours without
major delays.
3.5 Bus Storage & Office: Looking at potentially using the former Enterprise East building on
North Broadway. An architect has been hired for renderings. The building use is due to Nicollet
County withdrawing from the community health collaboration which will free up space for

storage, maintenance and operations for both Heartland and Hermann operations. At minimum
this could be a solution for the electric bus storage and charging stations.
3.6 Other Discussion: No items to share.
4. Next Meeting Date
The next meeting date was set for Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., or at the call of
the Chair.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
