Subject: Agenda Overview for Newport Board of Commissioners Meeting – April 21, 2025. Please find attached the agenda for the upcoming Newport Board of Commissioners meeting, scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Personnel Orders:  Appointing Dillon Carson to the position of Laborer/Maintenance in the Community Services Department. Proclamations/Presentation:  The City of Newport is committed to supporting affordable and fair housing. Mayor Guidugli will read a proclamation designating April as Fair Housing Month in Newport to demonstrate this continued commitment.  The City of Newport is honoring the front-line community workers who keep the city running during natural disasters.  Discussion to hear proposed changes to the Bar ID requirements and Extended Hours License Ordinances. Public Hearing:  The city will vote on legislation to approve state funding for municipal road aid. This funding is essential for the city's ability to maintain and repair its roads and ensure that our city's infrastructure remains safe and efficient for both residents and visitors to Newport. New Business:  The city will vote on purchasing a 2025 Aluminum Gallon Water Truck for the Public Works Department. This purchase is included in the budget for FY 24/25.  An order accepting a bid from TMS Construction Inc. for the 3rd Street and Monmouth Street Stamped Pavement/Replacement Project.  An order declaring a 1996 washer/extractor surplus property.
