LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 3 PRIMROSE STREET, NEWTOWN, CT WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2021 MOTIONS ONLY PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: Jordana Bloom, Alison Plante, Chris Smith, Phil Carroll, Ryan Knapp, Judit DeStefano, Paul Lundquist, Chris Eide, Dan Wiedemann, Cathy Reiss, Andy Clure, Dan Honan ALSO PRESENT: First Selectman Dan Rosenthal, Finance Director Bob Tait, CH Booth Library Director Douglas Lord, Library Board of Trustees Member David Schill, BOE Chair Michelle Embree Ku, BOE Member Dan Delia, 6 public, 1 press. CALL TO ORDER: Mr. Lundquist called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:32 pm. MINUTES: Mr. Honan moved to accept the minutes of the January 6, 2021 Legislative Council Regular Meeting. Seconded by Mr. Wiedemann. All in favor. Motion passes (12-0). OLD BUSINESS Discussion and Possible Action  2021-22 – 2025-26 CIP Ms. DeStefano moved to amend the library project in year three of the CIP and reduce it to $946,000 from $1,046,000. Seconded by Mr. Honan. All in favor. Motion passes (12-0). Ms. DeStefano moved to pass the amended 2021-2022 to 2025-2026 CIP. Seconded by Ms. Plante. Motion passes (10-2). Mr. Knapp moved to amend by approving the CIP with the change that Hawley School ventilation and HVAC phase one in year one be reduced to $0. Seconded by Mr. Wiedemann. Motion fails (3-9). ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, Mr. Honan moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:58 pm. Seconded by Mr. Wiedemann. All in favor.
