Monthly E-Board Meeting – January 9, 2025

Meeting commenced 18:02
present: Chief Greenspan (via video) Asst. Chief Cicciari; Secretary/Treasurer
Newsom; MAL Arneth; MAL Klein (video) Tom Ryer and Eric Jones.
Approval of December Meeting Minutes- voted unanimously.
Committee updates:
Communications (Scott) if you have a radio, it is assumed that you will take the
opportunity to direct respond to calls. Members are asked to keep radios on all
the time and direct respond to ensure calls are not dropped.
Safety (Gavin) keeping members updated with winter illnesses that are spiking.
Medical Supplies (Janet) nothing to report.
Building (Tom H) heating system was fixed last week.
Uniforms (Tom R)- Discussion to confirm using yellow NVAC patches for each
job shirt during EMS week. Members are asked to not add any patches or
wording without Eboard and uniform committee approvals.
Community Service (Faye) – community event on 1.25.25 at Booth Library.
Hospitality/Legal (Susan C) - nothing to report.
Training (Steve) Training process is being updated to be more streamlined.
QA/ByLaws (Guy)- charts being completed on time, working with Pat to get
billing for refusals on EMS Charts 1/31/25.
Tech (Jeff)- Everything running smooth at this time.
Vehicles (Eric – new chair)- Quote for repair for 97-2. Maintenance records are
all being added to spreadsheet making required maintenance more manageable as
well as being able to track what needs to be done and what has been done.
Discussion regarding how to secure the new Lifepaks in the ambulances.
Membership (Rabiya)- 7 interviews in the past 2 weeks for members from the
most recent EMT class. It was discussed that the EMT class scholarship program
might be modified in the future to cover Newtown residents only.
Plan B staffing – continues to move forward with approx.. start date of March 1,
2025.
New ambulance update – the build-out of the next ambulance to be received has
started. There is constant communication with ambulance company with NVAC
to ensure all specs are met.
Incentive Plan continuing to 2025 with some adjustments. Members are asked to
review the updates.
Eboard is working on updating and creating several SOPs. Members will have
the opportunity to review once they are drafted.
