City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee
Minutes for Feb. 12, 2024 Meeting, 6:15 PM
• Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors
Present are Lee Krumholz, Hal Cantwell, George Ahmadi, Paul Warren, Stephen
Swanson, Briann Zimmerman, Kenzie Thompson (TSET), Anne Wimberly.

Minutes from Sept 23 meeting approved at 6:50 PM.
Discussion of board member absences. George mentioned Pete Sapulsa has filled out the
form. Anne is new. Has lived in Norman for 5 years.
Introductions everyone.
City of Norman updates.
James on Parks. Met with progressive bike ramps about Creekside bike park. Looking for a
place to build a pump track. James’ committees are all talking about trails. Consultants are
here this week to attend meetings. There will be meetings at 3 elementary schools this week
and more meetings in March, to allow community to hear efforts on the comprehensive
transportation plan. Norman forward to be used to build a trail around airport.
Regional planning efforts are also ongoing.
ACOG has regional safety action plan. Hal has been attending meetings. Has also meeting
attending the meetings of the bike pedestrian advisory committee.
Discussion of the map. Some errors were pointed out. James is taking the changes.
April 12, 4-8 PM. Bike safety roundup at the well. Bike shops etc. Organizational meeting
Feb 22. At 1-2PM at the well.
Next meeting is March 11, 2024. Adjourn at 7:15.
