City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee
Minutes for March 11, 24 Meeting, 6:15 PM
• Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors
Present are Lee Krumholz, Hal Cantwell, Paul Warren, Briann Zimmerman, Kenzie
Thompson (TSET), Anne Wimberly (Ward 8), Daniel Murphy New member (Ward 4),
George Ahmadi.
Ex-officio: James Briggs, David Riesland, Thomas Zimmerman.
Minutes from Feb meeting approved at 6:50 PM.
Introductions from Daniel. Everyone else.
City of Norman updates.
Thomas. Teaching new officer trainees. Will ask again about pedestrian-bike collision data.
James on Parks. Fixing up Creekside bike park. Working with arts council to refinish bike
racks. May do another round of racks after that.
David. Flood ave multimodal path Robinson to Tecumseh to 24th. Bidding in May. Two mile
of path on Hwy 9 could let by the end of the year. Another path along rock creek connecting
Griffin and Sutton in design.
Kenzie discussed the bike safety roundup event on April 12. 4-8pm. Email sara directly to
volunteer.
April is bike count month. David will forward info.
May is bike month with bike to work day. May start the Westwood route from Young Family
center.
Norman cycling brochure. No more comments and nothing from Kristin.
Anne mentioned that Stubbeman is really bad for cycling. Too many high schoolers.
Briann mentioned Iowa st. over merkle creek is a problem.
Next meeting is May 13, 2024. Adjourn at 7:10.
