City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for August 12, 2024, Meeting at 6:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 201 West Gray Executive Conference Room • Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors o Members present: Zimmerman, Ahmadi, Cantwell, Murphey, Warren o Members absent: Wimberly, Krumholz  Approval of June 10, Meeting Minutes: Motion by Murphey; seconded by Murphey; motion passed unanimously BAC Member Updates – New Members New members: Chip Minty and Aisha Prather will be new members of the BAC at the next meeting.  City of Norman Updates: o James Briggs, NPRD • Currently working on AIM Norman, specifically regarding trails; more park projects in the near future, possibly going to the voters; Creekside will receive some updated maintenance. o David Riesland, Norman Transportation • Construction projects completing: Porter Streetscape has a walk-through in one week; James Garner project will have a ribbon cutting on Aug 22; Flood avenue bike trail has new construction bidder and will be complete 180 days after they start. o Thomas Zermeno, PD • Graduated an academy and started a new one (20 people); Reported on trespassing. o Current Cycle Norman Brochure + Map – Updated and Printing • The current map plan will be abandoned and James will engage city staff to see if the map and brochure could be procured in house.
