City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for October 14, 2024, Meeting at 6:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 201 West Gray Executive Conference Room The Bicycle Advisory Committee of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, met in Regular Session in the Executive Conference Room of the Norman Municipal Building, on the 14th day of October, 2024, at 6:15 p.m., and notice of the agenda of the meeting were posted at the Municipal Building at 201 West Gray and on the City website at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. • Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors o Members present: Zimmerman, Warren, Prather, Cantwell, Wimberly, Krumholz, Murphy, and Ahmadi o Members absent: Minty o Ex Officio Members Present: Riesland; Absent; Briggs, Zermeno  Approval of September 09, Meeting Minutes: Motion to approve moved by Krumholz, seconded by Zimmerman; Motion passed unanimously  BAC Member Updates – City of Norman Updates: o James Briggs, NPRD o David Riesland, Norman Transportation Updates: Alameda “lane diet”; Flood Ave multi-modal path; Highway 9 between 48th – 72nd and updates with ODOT for 72nd – 84th o Thomas Zermeno, NPD o Current Cycle Norman Brochure + Map – Updated Team members and plan o Plan to work on this during the next month o Discussion of plan and team to work towards City Bicycle Codes revisions o Ongoing Bicycle Related Planning Activities o Statement or Topics of Interest by Visitor(s) – o New Business/Open discussion o Group decided to cancel the November meeting due to a federal holiday; Next meeting will be December 9th o Cameron Bass and Samuel Hunt, OU students with Students for Local Action, attended the meeting and spoke on their experience regarding the bike registration experience. BAC looked over the current electronic registration form and offered suggestions.
