City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for September 8, 2025, Meeting at 5:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 225 North Webster Development Center Conference Room B The Bicycle Advisory Committee of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, met in Regular Session in the City of Norman Development Center Conference Room C, on the 11 day of August, 2025, at 5:18 p.m., and notice of the agenda of the meeting were posted at th the Municipal Building at 201 West Gray and on the City website at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. Per the City Manager’s request, the BAC was asked to move to Room C to accommodate another organization. • Roll Call of Members and Introduction of New Members and Visitors o Members present: Zimmerman, Ahmadi, Cantwell, Minty, Prather, Lanphere, Peppler; Members absent: Warren ▪ Approval of August 11, Meeting Minutes • Motion made by Minty, seconded by Zimmerman; there was also an amendatory motion to add the members and present at the August 11 meeting to the minutes by Ahmadi, seconded by Wimberly; motion passes unanimously BAC Member Updates – City of Norman Updates: o James Briggs, NPRD – Not present o David Riesland, Norman Transportation • Area b/n on highway9 between 48th and 72nd was to go to letting in October due to an oversight on the state’s board; agenda item will be on November’s meeting. • Expanded restriping applications are now open • Applying for Constitution Ave path solar lighting path o Thomas Zermeno, NPD o Status of Cycle Norman Brochure + Map with detailed, conclusive edit • Report on Presentation to CPTC on August 28, 2025 • Group discussed various revisions to the map with Riesland taking notes to forward to other city staff for CPTC approval. • The committee addressed several key areas that needed to be clarified and/or updated with the most appropriate rider level. • Prather suggested that it would be prudent to add the bicycle map as a layer in the City of Norman’s GIS. • Riesland agreed to take the proposal about GIS o Report from Sub-Committee on Potential Locations for Bollard Removal o Brief update on study of City Bicycle Codes. o Statement or Topics of Interest by Visitor(s) – o New Business/Open discussion October 13, 2025 – Next BAC Meeting Adjournment Motion to adjourn made by Ahmadi, seconded by Minty; motion passed unanimously.
