City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for January 12, 2026, Meeting at 5:15 PM The Bicycle Advisory Committee of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, met in Regular Session in the City of Norman Development Center Conference Room C, on the 8th day of th December, 2025, at 5:17 p.m., and notice of the agenda of the meeting were posted at the Municipal Building at 201 West Gray and on the City website at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. Per the City Manager’s request, the BAC was asked to move to Room C to accommodate another organization. • Roll Call of Members and Visitor introductions o Members present: Zimmerman, Prather, Wimberly, Cantwell, Ahmadi, Lanphere, Minty, Peppler o Approval of November 10 minutes: Moved by warren; seconded by wimberly; passed unanimously o Approval of December 8 minutes: Motion by Wimblery, seconded by Peppler; motion passes unanimously BAC Member Updates – City of Norman Updates: o James Briggs, NPRD - Trail ideas; No updates on Bike Club o David Riesland, Norman Transportation - There is now money available to finish the 36th Ave project; Listed projects that have now received bids (9 of 13); 48th to 72nd bids came in and following up with ODOT; 84th to 96th funding request was made to TSET. o Thomas Zermeno, NPD - Not present o Status of Cycle Norman Brochure + Map with detailed, conclusive edit • James let the committee know that the City of Norman GIS department will be hiring an intern to start over on the map based on feedback on the current map; Zimmerman and Wimberly bravely volunteered to be on the map subcommittee. o Begin Discussion of Codes review • 32-301: Tabled • 32-302: Tabled • 32-303: Tabled • 32-304: Tabled • 32-305: No change • 32-306: No change • 32-307: No change • 32-416: No change • 32-443: Minor change - adding “s” to make it plural • 32-505: Tabled o Statement or Topics of Interest by Visitor(s) • ODOT reported on quarterly OBS meeting, status of state bike map. o New Business/Open discussion February 9, 2026 – Next BAC Meeting Adjournment Motion made by Warren; seconded by Ahmadi; motion passes unanimously Page 1
