Norman Greenways Vision (Mark Nanny, Greenbelt Commission Chair) • Next meeting we will have the presentation B. Update to Bike Skills Park subcommittee (Tom/all) • New drainage engineer at the City of Norman (East Lindsey/24th E ) need the subdivision plat for the apartments (Drew Norlan may be able to send the link to the complex – colonial estates 15/ peppertree apts?) • “voluntary parkland” the land is designated (unusual designation) • Need to determine where the detention extent is and what portions can be used C. Review recommended changes to Norman Bike Map cycling routes & signage / Schedule for New Bike map review Modifications for the CTP discussion • Marked up map provided by Angelo – went through the potential map changes 1- 11 (chart below); committee looked at each recommendation and was in general agreement. o Discussion for considering Indian Hills from 60th to 72nd east with shoulder/bike lane for future (long term) proposed. o Discussion related to wanting to keep as indicated on map the Rock Creek section with multi-use path AND striped bike lane/shoulder proposed. This allows for experienced and inexperienced riders to use this section more effectively. o Discussion related to making bike routes have some wayfinding element (e.g. the numbers should correspond to some type of path from an area to another area, indication of number of miles for a loop, etc.). This may  be an opportunity for more ‘marketing’ type maps for users. Ideally would fold into the work Parks is doing with digital indicators/markers. This is a good long term planning idea. • Updates to the map to existing conditions, changes to add Basic Route to various locations indicated in the chart • Confirmed changes provided – map to be updated for next meeting “final bike map” next meeting then send to Transportation Committee D. Bicycle count summary Sept 20th & Sept 24th (Meghan) • Counts for Legacy trail and Oak Tree/12th through Cedar Lane • Need help with volunteers next spring • We would like to pursue April, rather than May for counts for the National Pedestrian and Bicycle Documentation Project E. Status reports: • CART Updates – (Karleene/Taylor) i. Several responses to RFP for Bikeshare, 50 bike/10 stations • Enforcement (OFC Smallwood) • City of Norman Updates (Angelo, James) – Update from James  i. Saxon Park – fitness trail finished ii. 6 or so more artistic bike rack • OU Campus (Lee) o No news • Bikeshare (?) See CART update • ACOG Envision 2040 Citizens Advisory Committee updates – (Tom) i. Public meetings are not getting great attendance. ii. Virtual meeting was on Sunday iii.
