City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for February 13, 2017 Meeting, 6:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 201 West Gray, Study Session Room (1) Roll Call and Introduction of Visitors Members present: Sunni Bailey-Koszarek, Gordon Carrie, Kim Floyd, Gary Miller, Kyle Williams Ex officio: Angelo Lombardo, James Briggs Guests: Tim Crisp & Cade ( ? ) - Representing OU Bike Share Jack Dawson, of the community (2) Approval of January Meeting Minutes - Motion by Kyle Williams, 2nd: Gordon Carrie Unanimous approval. (3) Agenda A. Norman Bike Map Review of draft: cycling routes & signage, (Angelo) • preparation of new Norman Bike Map – should be ready for presentation to Planning Committee 3/23/17 then forwarded for adoption on 4/20/17 • Potential for graphic improvement of Norman Bike Map in next iteration? James is working on this currently; nothing to report (James ) B. Discuss BAC activities for Earth Day 2017: Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 12 – 5 pm • Tabled to March 13 meeting for Michelle C. Tulsa’s equivalent BAC would like to coordinate an information sharing with our committee (Larry Mitchell) – discuss options, dates, etc • Tabled for now. Will contact Lee and see if we've made any plans • general consensus from the members in attendance is to teleconference with Mr. Mitchell during our meeting, if possible. D. PROJECT REQUESTS FOR TAP funding (Angelo) • These will be part of a presentation to the Planning Committee of the Council 3/23/17. • Constitution (Jenkins – Classen) – possible multi-use path • HWY 9 (36th – 48th) • Flood Ave (Robinson to Tecumseh; complete loop) • Connection to S. Canadian River/McClain County/Adkins Hill Road • Bike Skills course • Bicycle count technology (annual fee for the software for EcoCounters, purchase tubes for counting bicycle traffic) E. Correction / Updates to member terms in chart below • Gary Miller's term expires 2/14/2017. He will NOT be renewing his spot this time. We are so appreciative of all Gary has helped accomplish and his time spent on the BAC over the past 10 years. • Kyle Williams and Lee Krumholz will automatically have their terms renewed.  • One spot is available.
