(1) Roll Call and Introduction of Visitors
Attendees: Michelle Carr, Lee Krumholz, Thomas Woodfin, Meghan Wieters,Sunni Bailey-
Koszarek, Gordon Carrie, Kyle Williams, and new member Hal Cantrell

A. Review PowerPoint presentation draft to be given to Transp Subcommittee for 4/27/17
(Angelo et al)
PowerPoint reviewed and committee provided minor comments on text.

CTP meeting to be at 5:30 pm Thurs April 27 ; Tom and Angelo will give presentation. BAC
Committee members are asked to try to be there to show support for proposed changes.

B. BAC volunteers for Open Streets Norman: Saturday, April 9 Rides at 1, 2 & 3 pm (Tom)
– Need to borrow BLN folding tables, chairs Buchanan Bikes to provide light mechanical
assistance from 1-3:30 pm. BLN will have poster promoting 2017 Norman Conquest ride
so visitors can take cellphone picture.
Three rides for interested persons during Open Streets:

C. BAC volunteers for Earth Day 2017: Sunday, April 23 , 2017 12 – 5 pm (Tom)
Request for volunteers to come and sit at table. Michelle, Lee and Tom committed to go.
Meghan will try to attend as well.
D. Coordination of Tulsa’s equivalent BAC (Larry Mitchell) (Lee)
Lee will work on setting up potential Skype meeting with Larry Mitchell for future meeting.
E. PROJECT REQUESTS FOR TAP funding – Part of 4/27/17 and 5/9/17 meetings

1. HWY 9 (36 – 48 ) Extend trail from current end at 36th and purchase bicycle
count technology (annual fee for the software for EcoCounters, purchase tubes
for counting bicycle traffic)
2. Constitution (Jenkins – Classen) – possible multi-use path
3. Flood Ave (Robinson to Tecumseh; complete loop) funding in Norman Forward
BPAC meeting Wed -- the TAP funding will likely be discussed.
These projects will not likely be included in the request:
• Bike Skills course PARD + partners to supplement
• Connection to S. Canadian River/McClain County/Adkins Hill Road
Discussion about rank order of projects. Rolling in the cost of the bicycle counting technology
could be done for either project #1 or #2.
F. OU Bike Share Update: getting started on 7 stations with 70 bikes: updates
• Successful launch; unknown how bicycles will be redistributed to stations on regular
basis.
G. Bike to Work Day discussion (James)
• Posters passed out to promote the Bike to Work Day activities and routes in Norman
for that day.
H. Status reports:
1. CART Updates – (Karleene/Taylor) - none
2. Enforcement (OFC Smallwood) - none
3. City of Norman Updates (Angelo, James) –
Video detection system – City is working out some problems, should be back online soon
Parks design – discussion on connections for bicycles at Griffin Park, mobility connection for all
modes Timberdell/Imhoff; Constitution/Imhoff Traffic Impact Study is studying many of these
problem areas for consideration of improvements/realignments.

(4) New Business for May agenda -

Committee voted unanimously to move meeting to Monday MAY 1 at 6:15 pm (exact location to
be determined. This will allow BAC members to assist with the Jackson Elementary bike rodeo
