Krumholz 2nd: H. Cantwell Passed Unanimously (3) Agenda A. Review Bike Map improvements for next printing (James) • Reviewed sample maps brought by T. Woodfin • New map will not include future routes unless “imminent” which will be defined as: 1) funding secured 2) bidding date secured • Need to place this item agenda for next month. • Angelo to ask James Briggs to send bike routes shapefiles for GIS to Meghan Wieters; Woodfin and Wieters will work on a mock-up to provide for committee and James for discussion next meeting. B. Discussion of new Bike Skills Park design process: report from BSP Subcommittee (Kyle, Michelle, Kim) Committee has created draft goals to be presented next meeting. MCarr will prepare notes from discussions w. J.McMann about universal design options for skills park to discuss more next meeting. C. Status reports: • CART Updates – (Taylor Johnson ) No update; MWieters to email Taylor Johnson to determine potential updates • Enforcement (OFC Smallwood) - no updates • City of Norman Updates (Angelo, James) Pavement marking improvements consistent with CTP discussed last month are moving forward to Council on 9/12/17. Some concerns have been expressed about Main St pavement marking design (3-lane
decreases conflict points for drivers, increases safety, and provides bike lane) consistent with transportation long range plan. • OU Campus / Bikeshare (Kyle) update on Crimson Cruisers • 1 month of data shows: i. 10,704 trips made ii. Over 2,000 hours of travel iii. 1500 subscribers iv. Average trips/day per bike = 4.52 v. Average weekday trips = 390 trips  vi. Average weekend trips = 430 trips vii. Average weekend trip distance = 1.1 mile viii. Average weekend duration trip = 15 min ix. Average weekday trip distance = .9 miles x. Average weekday trip duration = 11:40 min xi. 74 bikes on system, possible purchase of more in future D. Upcoming meetings / topics of interest to cycling in Norman • Parks meeting – Thurs. Sept 7th
