Norman Open Streets Event: Sunday April 15, 2018 (registration by March 25, 2018) Laura Matlock, Community Coordinator, Cleveland County Health Dept ClevelandCountyOpenSt@health.ok.gov Application for space due March 25th Map of location for Open Streets (Gray, Daws, Main will remain open for traffic)- Webster will be closed to traffic.  ACOG will create maps for bike rides from various parking locations (Norman High, Norman North, Alameda Square, Lloyd Noble) ACOG is creating a double track bike lane for the event on the north portion of Webster between Gray and Main in the center of the road. Options for BAC discussed: Bike rodeo for kids and adults Colorful crosswalk with spray chalk Mock-up cycle track with cones Decision: OU RCPL and OU LA with BAC members will submit an application to do a bike rodeo B. Update on Bike Skills Park design contract spring 2018 engagement & BAC responsibilities Design contract did not required Council approval due to cost being under the threshold. Negotiation of contract to be completed this month, meeting in Spring, construction next year. C. Single-track MTB path at Ruby Grant Park: solicit proposals from OEF? (Tom) Chris and Tom will look at existing plans that are going into design July 1 to see if there is a location within the park for a mountain bike single-track that won’t conflict with other activities. Elements on the draft conceptual plan that will NOT likely be built/designed include the park maintenance facility and amphitheater. http://normanok.gov/parks/ruby-grant-concepts D. Beginner safe loop in University North Park: connecting to the bridge (Tom) This ended up being private property. So completely the access will require the new development to be built and include this link.  E. Status reports: • City of Norman Updates: Comp Plan (Angelo, James) Hwy 9 multimodal path started; 2 Road Diets are heading to pre-construction meeting this week Bikeshare option is being discussed as a whole system with City of Norman paying into it in order to expand the service. Discussion about creating passes for low-income users similar to bus passes to address important issue of creating greater access for all users. OK SB 1374 to prohibit dockless bikeshare statewide – of concern http://nabsa.net/oklahoma-dockless-bikeshare-bill/ • OU Crimson Cruisers Bikeshare (Kyle) • Web-based Rider-friendly Bike Maps – table to another meeting Norman regular map – map was given to members to review last meeting, if you have concerns you need to send those concerns to James as soon as possible. Meghan will provide some infographic style graphics for James to add to the backside of the map as desired. Next meeting may discuss what should go on the front of the map.  F.
