City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for March 11, 2019 Meeting, 6:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 201 West Gray, Multi-purpose Conference Room (1) Roll Call and Introduction of Visitors a. Attendees: Carr, Krumholz, Cantwell, Woodfin, Bailey-Koszarek, Carrie b. Visitors: None (2) Approval of February Meeting Minutes & New Business for April 2019 agenda (3) Agenda • Norman Bike Skills Park update (Briggs) No Report • Legacy Trail Eco-counter disposition: (Woodfin/Lombardo) discussion of locations • Open Streets Norman 2019 (Matlock) Carr communicated with Matlock concerning location of BAC table for convenience in starting local rides. Cantwell & Krumholz discussed short ride routes west into neighborhood & will need to confirm no construction along proposed route – discussion that rides will advertised in OpenStreets material to begin at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 lasting approximately 20-25 minutes each. Carr will run kid’s event and will need assistance. BLN membership to be contacted for participation. • Review DRAFT BAC 2018 Annual Summary to Council Subcommittee (All) • City of Norman Updates: • James Briggs PARD – status of updated Bike Map? Available for distribution at OpenStreets and Norman Earth Day event? • Angelo Lombardo Norman Transportation initiatives – concern that recently- appointed new BAC member Chase Campus has never responded to e-mails and has already missed two meetings. He will inquire as to process and status of volunteer applications since the BAC will soon have two unfilled positions. Lombardo met with BLN Conquest organizers to discuss potential construction – with Federal government shutdown, construction has been delayed on East 24th Street so will not be under construction for the Conquest charity ride event in July. • Teddy Wilson Norman PD No report • CART Bikes on buses for January: new contact information - Susan Coldwater s_coldwater@ou.edu and Kris Glenn krisglenn@ou.edu Would be good to have status of Crimson Cruisers as well – who has access to usage statistics? • Chair Woodfin announced that he will be resigning from the BAC and that the April meeting will be his last.
