City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for Nov. 9, 2020 Meeting, 6:15 PM Virtual Meeting via Zoom • Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors  Present are Lee Krumholz, Hal Cantwell, Chris Southern, George Ahmadi, Jordan Evans, Thomas Zermeno, David Riesland, Sarah Shanks, Krystin Richardson, James Briggs.  Sunni, Gordon and Caroline have resigned, so we are looking for 3 people to join the BAC. • Approval of Oct.. Meeting Minutes. Approved at 6:26 PM. • Hal mentioned that State meetings including BAC meetings may have to return in person in Dec. if the Gov does not reinstate the current order. City of Norman Updates:  James Briggs reported. Skatepark is opening at noon this Saturday. It is for bikes as well as boards. Ruby grant park is opening soon.  David Riesland report. Hwy 9 multimodal path 36th-48th Path construction is complete. Some sod is still needed. Filling in gaps on 24th and 36th Northwest will let next month with construction starting next year. 24th ave bond project. Robinson to Lindsey. South mile could open Sometime in Dec.  Thomas Zermeno, Norman PD. This weekend, there were specific units assigned to deal with mask issues from games. Bike school next week. Thomas will be going to Hawaii to instruct in IPIMBA course. Bike team handles issues related to stores open on Black Friday.  Jordan Evans. Bike ped counts last month. More automated counters coming online. BPAC next month.  Krystyn Richardson. Several changes were suggested for the bike map. Fixed 24th ave to correspond to inset map. Move the football stadium. Change text on backside and on legend to Advance rider route, Basic rider route, paved bike path and Striped bike lane. Change #4 to signal all turns.  Sunni was also vice chair and social media chair. We need someone to do this.  Protected bike lanes will be discussed next month.
