City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for March 8, 2021 Meeting, 6:15 PM Virtual Meeting via Zoom • Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors  Present are: Lee Krumholz; Hal Cantwell; Chris Southern; George Ahmadi; Jordan Evans; Thomas Zermeno; David Riesland; James Briggs; Olga Caulfield; Natalie Rocher; Micah Snyder and Jay McCarty. Sarah Shanks was able to join but after vote to approve past minutes. • Approval of Oct. Meeting Minutes. Approved at 6:17 PM. All Committee members present voted individually, by voice, to approve the minutes. City of Norman Updates:  James Briggs reported. Ruby Grant Park opened and people have been riding on gravel trails. Building a multi-modal path on Flood near Robinson. Rebuild at Reaves and Griffin park will occur.  David Riesland report. Hwy 9 multi-modal path 36th-48th Path construction is mostly complete. Some handrails to be added. Legacy Trail gap project 24th to 36th, a prework meeting will occur. 24th Ave., bond project will be complete this month. Constitution Path will be let this summer (accept bids).  Thomas Zermeno, Norman PD. Few injuries during snowstorm. New promotions at police department. New officers will be coming on as well. Thomas will be running a bike school week of March 17th for officers.  Map. Final comments will be done next month. James will send out the map/brochure. Please get your comments in to Hal before the next meeting.  We are looking for someone to help with social media and also a vice chair.  Sarah brought up the question about the use of social media for us. Hal mentioned informational brochure to be published by Pioneer Library System.  Jordan Evans. May is bike month. ACOG takes the role in regional efforts. ACOG will do the bike to work day events. May 21st is official bike to work day. We need route info by April 5. ACOG is doing a scavenger hunt in May.
