Page 1 of 2 City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for July 12, 2021 Meeting, 6:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 201 West Gray, Executive Conference Room Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors  Present are Lee Krumholz, Hal Cantwell, Thomas Zermeno, David Riesland, Micah Snyder, Jay McCarty, Chris Southern and Aley Cristelli, NRH  Approval of March Meeting Minutes. Approved by unanimous voice vote at 6:17 PM Aley Cristelli is with the Norman Regional Health System TSET Healthy Living Program. Their proposed strategy is complete streets in Norman. Hoping to put together a project. Could help BAC with technical assistance and data collection. Have done open streets events. Could be involved in any health and wellness. Norman TSET program does not have a website. Norman PD. Thomas has been accepted as a board member of IPMBA. Police Academy is half done and will be finished in the fall. Events are coming back, but there are very few police officers. Thomas is doing stuff at the library including bicycle education. Suggestions to get library involved in bicycle education. Mentioned Michelle and the Jackson Bike rodeo. Road infrastructure. The bike lanes on East 24th will not be green. Just striped and marked. Use of green to highlight critical areas may be option – will discuss in future meetings. Hal talked about new bike traffic laws that take effect November 1, OK HB1770 | 2021 | Regular Session | LegiScan. Devolved to discussion about scooters. Just some city ordinances recommending acting like a bike. Jay asked about the savings of not using the green lane. Savings will be for the entire project. Gaps in legacy trail are being filled. West 24th between Robinson and rock creek and west 36th between rock creek and Tecumseh. 24th east bike lanes are almost done. Norman Area Bike Map/Pamphlet discussed. Will revisit in August with latest version. Creekside Bike Park rework and training will happen this month.
