City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for March 14, 2022 Meeting, 6:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 201 West Gray, Executive Conference Room  Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors o Members Present: Hal Cantwell, Lee Krumholz, Sarah Shanks, Briann Zimmermann, Nathan Barron, Michael Dennis Dick o Ex Officio Members present: James Briggs, David Riesland, o Visitor: Jack Dawson.  Minutes from November 2021 and February 2022 approved as amended at 6:30. o City of Norman Parks Updates: Reaves Park: Construction ongoing parking will be expanded shortly. Griffin Park is closed off for building soccer fields. o David Riesland, Norman Transportation  Constitution path construction will start around July. This will be on North side.  Bike count. Sat April 16, 10-12 and Tuesday April 19, 5-7 PM will be doing a count. o Bike to Work day. Friday May 20. Sarah Shanks will lead route from Griffin Dog Park, Lee Krumholz will lead the ride from MCS swim complex and Hal Cantwell will lead ride from Westwood Park. o Cycling Map. Modifications. Remove 12th SE as a route North of Constitution. Voted and approved the change to 12th. Edit note -> Connect Astor in Castlerock. o Bike Lanes. Lee Krumholz suggested double lines and Hal Cantwell mentioned Flexible barriers. This is something that the BAC will continue to work on. o Sarah Shanks mentioned overgrown shrubs on 24th NW. David mentioned that City could reach out to owners and ask them to trim the shrubs. o Mr Dawson suggests that we add a bike to work route on Legacy Trail. He also suggests that we no longer call multimodal path “multimodal”. Call them bike paths. Next meeting April 11, 2022 @ 6:15 pm  Adjournment at 7:20.
