City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Agenda for April 11, 2022, Meeting at 6:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 201 West Gray, Executive Conference Room  Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors o Members present: Nathan Barron, Chris Southern, Michael Dennis Dick, o George Ahmadi, Hal Cantwell o Ex-Officio members present: David Riesland, James Briggs, Thomas Zermeno  Approval of March 14, 2022, Meeting Minutes o Motion to approve minutes by Nathan Barron, seconded by Michael Dennis Dick o Unanimous vote to approve minutes Agenda BAC Member Updates – o City of Norman Updates: o Thomas Zermeno, PD – Medieval Fair went well; Discussed Bike-to-Work Day; Update on NPD bike academy. o James Briggs, NPaRD – Construction continues at Reaves Park; gave trail updates. o David Riesland, Transportation – Constitution Ave construction will likely start in August; Bike signs were taken down from 12th Avenue after last month’s vote to remove from Norman Bike Map. o Bike Count volunteers for Sat April 16, 10-12 AM and Tuesday April 19, 5-7 PM o 2022 Bike to Work Day <–> Friday, May 20  Assignment from Community Planning and Transportation Committee  Bike Lanes Study/Recommendations -- Progress and process next steps • David Riesland mentioned that the 3D Lane Stripe would be an expensive option, but still less expensive than the green lanes; Michael commented that the Separate Green Lane at Intersection option (page 8) would be a good option for the cost of paint; Group discussed the pros and cons of flexible barriers; David mentioned that goal of the recommendations is to have a present menu of designs that the committee has adopted; David suggested to “Protected Bike Lanes” on the list of recommendations; Michael asked if it was possible to make one recommendation for bike signage i.e. Bicycle May Use Full Lane and David said he would look into it.  Committee member reports o Jack Dawson presentation – no presentation was given.
