City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for May 8, 2023, Meeting at 6:15 PM City of Norman Municipal Complex 201 West Gray, Executive Conference Room ● Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors Members present: Hal Cantwell- Chair Lee Krumholz- Recreational and commuter. BikeOklahoma. Jim Eller George Ahmadi Briann Zimmermann o Ex-Officio members present: David Riesland, James Briggs, Thomas Zermeno Sarah Bloom and Sara Sancak are visiting from TSET/Norman Regional Andrew is visiting. Creekside bike park. Agenda Minutes from Feb 23 approved unanimously. June 12 is next meeting. Bike to Work Day is May 19, 2023. Discussion of ride leaders. Briann will lead the ride from Westwood, Stephen will lead from OU pool and Hal will lead the ride from Griffin dog park. Send Hal which work group you want to be involved in. 1. Web page. 2. Bike counts. 3. Art in the intersection. Member updates: None. City of Norman Updates: Web page agreements are being updated. Our bike map is getting slowed as a result. Constitution Multimodal Path is essentially complete. Flood Avenue path has to be bid no later than October. Robinson to Tecumseh. Will help close the loop around the airport. Highway 9 path. Council will have agenda item in June to award design of 48th to 72nd path to contractor. PD summary. Norman Music went quietly. 6 graduated from BPOC and will be joining NPD. TSET. Part of bike rodeo with Jackson Elementary. Last Wed was national Walk-Bike to school day. Stickers were given out. Creekside bike park. We need to determine when the scheduled training for Creekside bike park maintenance. Hal has come up with some assignments for subgroups. Lee, Nathan, Hal, David, James, Michael Next meeting will be June 12, 2023. ● Adjournment Meeting was adjourned at 6:58.
