DISCUSSION REGARDING CONTRACT K-2122-19 FOR THE SOUTHEAST LIFT STATION. Mr. Nathan Madenwald, Utilities Engineer, provided background information leading up to the consideration of the Southeast Lift Station. He said proposed development in southeast Norman, often referenced as Destin Landing, will require three lift stations for sewer service. These proposed lift stations would be in addition to the existing Summit Valley Lift Station that is located upstream in the same drainage basin. Staff has previously updated the wastewater model to project flows generated from full build-out of the Destin Landing Development in SE Norman. A series of interceptors as well as one large lift station can eliminate one existing and three proposed lift stations in southeast Norman. He said there is a contract with Search, LLC, on the regular agenda this evening. The contract will provide preliminary design services for the lift station to properly size the station, identify land for acquisition, and determine routing for gravity and force mains. Final design, bidding, construction administration, and as-built services would be by potential future amendment. NORMAN REGIONAL HOSPITAL, ET AL., CLEVELAND COUNTY COURT CASE NO. CIV -19-113-SLP; AND AS AUTHORIZED UNDER TITLE 25 § 307(B)(3) TO DISCUSS THE POSSIBLE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 207 EAST GRAY STREET. The Special Session was adjourned out of and an Executive Session convened at 5:13 p.m. Motion made by Councilmember Ward 6 Foreman, Seconded by Councilmember Ward 4 Hall. Those in attendance in the Executive Session include Mr. Darrel Pyle, City Manager; Ms. Gala Hicks, Human Resources Director; Ms. Kathryn Walker, City Attorney; and Mr. Rickey Knighton, Assistant City Attorney. The Executive Session was adjourned out of and the Special Session was reconvened at 6:33 p.m. Motion made by Councilmember Ward 4 Hall, Seconded by Councilmember Ward 6 Foreman Voting Yea: Mayor Clark, Councilmember Ward 1 Studley, Councilmember Ward 2 Schueler, Councilmember Ward 3 Lynn, Councilmember Ward 4 Hall, Councilmember Ward 5 Tortorello, Councilmember Ward 6 Foreman, Councilmember Ward 7 Holman, Councilmember Ward 8 Peacock. Mayor Clark said negotiations concerning employees and representatives of employee groups and pending litigation associated with the Patricia Thompson Court Case, and the possible purchase of real property located at 207 East Gray Street were discussed in Executive Sessions.
