ANNOUNCEMENTS

Division of Resilience and Sustainability or the "DoERS". They are going to focus on "One
Water"
Water Vote is June 13th.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
2. Discussion of the Mayors Climate Protection Agreement
Still needing information for item 5 (Sustainable Building Practices) and item 7 (Water
and Wastewater Plant Efficiencies). It was mentioned that item 4 and 5 are similar and
that they could adjust some of the items from 4 into item 5. Croft will double check the
intro on item 3 and update it. It was decided that everyone is to double check their
intros and update them accordingly to reflect their findings. It was agreed that
everyone is to have all their information to Loudenback by June 1st. It will be added to
the document and emailed out to everyone by June 2nd. This will give everyone the
opportunity to go through each item, make notes, see what they think and come more
prepared at next month's meeting for more discussion. It was asked if "Ready for 100"
was going to happen and it will not. Ready for 100 is reaching a zero fossil fuel use by
2035. Also discussed putting the Wetlands under item 9.
3. Discussion of the following completed activities:
Earth Day - went well and heard from others that it was a good event. Cretsinger felt
that ECAB failed by not having a table at the event and that next year they need to set
up a table.
E-Waste - was a bit smaller this time around. Loudenback is looking into getting a
container at the HHW Facility that will be self-service and picked up quarterly.
4. Discussion of Spraying Programs
There is a group in town that is interested in the spraying program and wanted to
discuss it with the board but ended up not showing up. The group is Safe Lawns.
Cretsinger thought that ECAB should have some ecofriendly alternatives to take to
groups such as the Parks Department that they could use that would be effective if
they were open to it. Loudenback stated that the LEAF property could be used as the
"demo" for the alternatives to lawn care. Heins asked how they move forward with the

"demo". They will need the land (LEAF), with a plan, press release (DoERS) and
signage (DoERS). They will get with Prairie Wind Nursery in regards to the
cornmeal/Texas Green sand. Inger will take the lead.
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS
DEQ has a Brownfield Grant program and they are excited to help us out with cleaning up the
LEAF site and restoring it.
Will have activities in June for pollinator week. One of which is a Moth Walk. They will not have
an activity everyday this year.
National Love your lake week is at the end of July. Water's Worth it is also coming up.
