MINUTES 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE JULY 19, 2023 MEETING A couple corrections were mentioned. Motion made to correct what was mentioned and then approved by Board member Cretsinger, Seconded by Board member Giuffrida. Voting Yea: Board member Phillips, Board member Smith, Board member Green DISCUSSION ITEMS 2. Discussion of the Mayors Climate Protection Agreement Croft added some additions to action items 1-5 that were sent in after the previous meeting. More additions and removals were made to action items 1-5. Members agreed that they should narrow the recommendations section down because there are a lot. Due to Norman not being able to regulate or enforce rules for water wells since it is not their jurisdiction, this item will be removed. After further discussion it was decided that items that are duplicates will be "cross referenced". Rewording some items to include a broader selection to include land use practices or ensure they are included in the comprehensive plans. The city is working towards a business recognition for "green businesses". Suggested to do decals for those businesses. Also include "incentives" for the builders and developers. Educate the HOA's. Other sections reworded to include a broader selection pertaining to those items. It was decided that they will table this item for further discussion in next months meeting. ACTION ITEMS 3. Discussion and/or approval of visiting JCI's project on either September 18th or 19th. JCI would love to show the board what they are implementing for the initiative and have given the option to come by September the 18th or 19th. Everyone agreed on September 19th @ 12 PM.
