Motion to approve January's minutes made by Board member Smith, Seconded by Board member Bondy. Voting Yea: Board member Cretsinger, Board member Phillips, Board member Nairn, Board member Rocher, Board Member Grzybowski DISCUSSION ITEMS 3. DISCUSS RECYCLING, PRESENTATION BY BRETT SCOVILL Scovill announced that the City of Norman has found a way to take over the Recycling which will begin August 1st. Scovill stated that they are running a 27% contamination rate right now and needs the group to continue to educate the citizens about the importance of recycling and what is considered recyclable. Expressed the importance of reducing the contamination. Another thing that they have available is a bin for compost that will be available for sale to the residents that he is excited about as well. Fertile ground was mentioned in assisting with individual bags in regards to composting. He requested that ECAB promote backyard composting. He also suggested a QR code and insert be created ASAP, with recycling information on it. He appreciates the group and their continued help. 4. DISCUSS THE WATER'S WORTH IT POSTER CONTEST ECAB to reach out to the schools to get their submission in before the deadline. Grzybowski will reach out to the Science Coordinator who will get it out to all the Elementary School Science teachers. Also discussed that we could put them up in city hall again. Loudenback let the board know that a vendor reached out to us and offered a discount on the EarthDay shirts. ACTION ITEMS 5. DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL OF ACTIVITIES FOR GREEN NORMAN ECO MONTH Loudenback explained to the group that she is unable to do Big Event due to staffing issues but can do smaller events. Group discussed volunteering at the Earth Day event and setting up an ECAB booth. Motion made by Board member Phillips to host a table at Earth Day and volunteer at the event, Seconded by Board member Smith. HARP AWARD Motion to approve nominee made by Board member Smith, Seconded by Board member Phillips.
