CITY OF NORMAN, OK ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL ADVISORY BOARD MEETING Development Center, Conference Room B, 225 N. Webster Avenue, Norman, OK 73069 Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 5:30 PM MINUTES The Environmental Control Advisory Board of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, will meet in Regular Session in the Utilities Conference Room at the Development Center, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 5:30 PM and notice of the agenda of the meeting was posted at the Norman Municipal Building at 201 West Gray, Development center at 225 N. Webster, and on the City website at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. ROLL CALL 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE MARCH 12, 2025 MEETING Motion made by Vice Chair Rocher, Seconded by Board Member Grzybowski. Voting Yea: Board member Cretsinger, Board member Giuffrida, Chairman Phillips, Board member Nairn, Vice Chair Rocher, Board member Bondy, Board member Smith, Board Member Grzybowski, Board Member Howery DISCUSSION ITEMS If ECAB would like to host a table they can partner with LTWA. It would also be a good idea for ECAB to hand out the students awards. As far as new swag, the budget will have to be revisited in the new fiscal year. MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS Wildcare Babyshower - April 26th - noon-5pm All the animal welfare organizations in the state came together to form the Oklahoma Animal Coalition where they ranked all the problems within the state and voted on the top issues. One of the top issues voted on will be a resolution read in both the senate and the house declaring April 15th thru the end of May as Lights Out for Migratory Birds. EarthDay will be promoted on Living Oklahoma, channel 25, this year. One of the hurdles they run into in regards to the Mayors Climate Protection Agreement is funding for some of the projects they were wanting to implement. All four Rotary Clubs of Norman got together and applied for a district grant to put some recycle bins in each park. After further discussion, there will be more hurdles to jump through to get this fully implemented but is very hopeful. OU Waterday, can be viewed on YouTube.
