GREENBELT COMMISSION MINUTES OF July 20, 2020 The Greenbelt Commission of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, met for the Regular Meeting on July 20, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. Notice and Agenda of the meeting were posted at 201 W Gray Building A, the Norman Municipal Complex and at www.normanok.gov twenty-four hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. The meeting was held by Zoom virtual meeting. ITEM NO. 1 BEING: CALL TO ORDER. Chair George Dotson called the meeting to order. ~~~~~ ITEM NO. 2 BEING: ROLL CALL. MEMBERS PRESENT: George Dotson Mark Nanny Robert Huskey Andrew Hewlett Marguerite Larson Samantha Luttrell MEMBERS ABSENT Colin Zink Cody Franklin STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Janay Greenlee – Planner II GUESTS PRESENT: Joe Orr, Car-Mart Applicant ~~~~~ ITEM NO. 3 BEING: Approval of the Minutes from June 15, 2020 Regular Meeting. Motion by Mark Nanny for approval; Second. Robert Huskey All approve. Norman Greenbelt Commission July 20, 2020 Page 2 ITEM NO. 4 BEING: Review of the Greenbelt Enhancement Statements: CONSENT DOCKET GBC 20-11 Applicant: Tami Rudd Project: Single family homes Location: 521 48th Ave. N.E. Request: COS, Rural Certificate of Survey; divide 31.42 acres into three tracts Zoning: A-2, Rural Agricultural District NORMAN 2025 Land Use: Country Residential and Very Low Density Residential GBC 20-12 Applicant: Car-Mart Project: New car dealership Location: 512 N. Interstate Dr. Request: Preliminary Plat Zoning: C-2, General Commercial NORMAN 2025 Land Use: Commercial Motion by Robert Huskey to approve Items 20-11 and 20-12; Second by Samantha Luttrell. All approve. ITEM NO. 5 BEING: Discussion regarding the Greenbelt Commission’s proposed revisions to Article XXI , The Greenbelt Commission: Mark Nanny and the commissioners agreed with proposed revisions to Article XXI and would like to move forward to Council for adoption. Robert Huskey requested that the wording regarding amendments to signage be changed to ‘potential signage or landmark’ and the commissioners agreed. Staff agreed to move this request to the Planning Director. ITEM NO. 6 BEING: Miscellaneous. None ITEM NO. 7 BEING: Adjournment. GREENBELT COMMISSION AGENDA MEETING VIA ZOOM July 20, 2020 MEETING TIME: 5:30 o’clock p.m. MEETING PLACE: Zoom Meeting Municipal Building 201 W. Gray Street Building A Virtual meeting by Zoom with Greenbelt Commissioners: George Dotson, Samantha Luttrell, Robert Huskey, Cody Franklin, Andrew Hewlett, Colin Zink, Marguerite Larson, and Mark Nanny appearing via video conference. Any of these items may be removed from the Consent Docket and be heard in its regular order. Staff recommends that Items GBC 20-11 and GBC 20-12 be placed on the consent docket for a Finding of No Greenbelt Opportunity.
