MINUTES
It is the policy of the City of Norman that no person or groups of persons shall on the grounds of
race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, place of birth, sex, sexual orientation, gender
identity or expression, familial status, marital status, including marriage to a person of the same
sex, disability, retaliation, or genetic information, be excluded from participation in, be denied the

services, or activities administered by the City, its recipients, sub-recipients, and contractors. In
the event of any comments, complaints, modifications, accommodations, alternative formats,
and auxiliary aids and services regarding accessibility or inclusion, please contact the ADA

advance notice is preferred.

2. Community Action Lab Engagement Update:
* Over 210,000 Social Media Engagements
* Over 300 email subscribers with a 54% email open rate
* Over 144 students in the Norman Community Action Lab Course
Edward Erfurt, Strong Towns, discussed the website and what the Community Action
Lab entails and how others can get engaged and learn about Strong Towns approach.
Mr. Erfurt explained that the topics that the Leadership Team are interested in is: ADU,
pattern zoning, minimum lot sizes, reviewing codes and processes, and medium density
housing.
Chuck Marohn, Strong Towns, discussed sales tax and how that can affect a city.
Norman City Council and the Planning Commission will be invited to attend the meetings.
These are not regular meetings of the City Council or Planning Commission; however, this
notice is being posted in compliance with the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act in the event a
quorum of Council is present.
There was no quorum present for this meeting.
