NORMAN ELECTION COMMISSION MINUTES March 26, 2019 The Norman Election Commission of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma, met in the Municipal Building Conference Room at 201 West Gray on the 26th day of March, 2019, at 3:15 p.m. Notice and agenda of the meeting were posted at the Municipal Building 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. MEMBERS PRESENT: Michael Morehead Jane Purcell Amelia Torres MEMBERS ABSENT: Elizabeth Pierce and Ty Hardiman OTHERS PRESENT: Brenda Hall, City Clerk Item 2. Consideration of approval of the Norman Election Commission minutes of February 5, 2019. Member Purcell moved that the Norman Election Commission minutes of February 5, 2019, be approved, which motion was duly seconded by Member Torres; Items submitted for the record 1. Norman Election Commission minutes of February 5, 2019 and the question being upon approving the Norman Election Commission minutes of February 5, 2019, a vote was taken with the following result: YEAS: Members Morehead, Purcell, Torres NAYES: None The City Clerk declared the motion carried and the Norman Election Commission minutes of February 5, 2019, were approved. ***** Norman Election Commission March 26, 2019 Page 2 Item 3. Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Partial Fourth Quarter Report for Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019, filed February 8, 2019 and the question being upon accepting the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Continuing Report for Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019, a vote was taken with the following result: YEAS: Members Morehead, Purcell, Torres NAYES: None The City Clerk declared the motion carried and the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Pre-Election Report for Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019, was accepted. Member Morehead moved that the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Continuing Report for Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019, be rejected, which motion was duly seconded by Member Purcell; Items submitted for the record 1. Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Partial Fourth Quarter Report for Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019, filed March 25, 2019 and the question being upon rejecting the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Pre-Election Report for Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019, a vote was taken with the following result: YEAS: Members Morehead, Purcell, Torres NAYES: None The City Clerk declared the motion carried and the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Pre-Election Report for Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019, was rejected. The City Clerk advised the Commission that an amended report would be filed as indicated by the Treasure; therefore, the Commission rejected the existing report. An amended report will be filed and considered at the Commission’s next meeting. * Norman Election Commission March 26, 2019 Page 3 Item 3, continued: Bailey 4 Ward 3 2019 Member Morehead moved that the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Pre-Election Report for Bailey 4 Ward 3 2019, be accepted, which motion was duly seconded by Member Torres; Items submitted for the record 1. Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Pre-Election Report for Bailey 4 Ward 3 2019, filed March 22, 2019 and the question being upon accepting the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Pre-Election Report for Bailey 4Ward 3 2019, a vote was taken with the following result: YEAS: Members Morehead, Purcell, Torres NAYES: None The City Clerk declared the motion carried and the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Pre-Election Report for Bailey 4 Ward 3 2019, was accepted. The City Clerk will make contact with the Treasurer to amend the Schedule C to show the loan balance of $5,000. The loan amount was included on the report with no payments having been made. The Commission felt the zero balance was an oversight; therefore, the report was accepted with that correction. ***** Item 4. Miscellaneous Discussion. The next meeting is scheduled for May 6, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. ***** Item 5. Adjournment. The City Clerk declared the meeting adjourned at 3:31 p.m.
