CITY OF NORMAN, OK SOCIAL AND VOLUNTARY SERVICES COMMISSION MEETING Development Center Conference Room B, 225 N Webster, Norman, OK 73069 Monday, February 03, 2025 at 5:30 PM MINUTES The Social and Voluntary Services Commission of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, will meet in Regular Session in Conference Room B at the Development Center, on Monday, February 03, 2025 at 5:30 PM and notice of the agenda of the meeting was posted at the Norman Municipal Building at 201 West Gray, Development Center at 225 N. Webster, and on the City website at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order at 5:35pm. The Commission will meet on June 23 to discuss the applications, and on July 7 to make final finding determinations. ELECTION OF CHAIR & VICE CHAIR Motion by Heidi Smith to nominate Ann Way as Chair and Jennifer Newell as Vice Chair; Second by Marc Bonge. The motion passed unanimously. MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS If Senate Bill 484 is passed it will affect several of these grants, but the Commission will carry on its mission until then. The annual Point in Time (PIT) count was on January 23 rd, and the data gathered from it has not been processed yet. The Norman Housing Authority Announced it will not be issuing more Section 8 Housing Vouchers until at least June, but possibly December. ADJOURNMENT This meeting was adjourned at 6:14pm.
