Mr. James Briggs, Park Planner, gave an update to the City Forester stating the position was offered to Tim

to work in a couple of weeks. Mr. Briggs suggested discussing the possible City licensing requirement for
Arborists when the City Forester begins and the Board agreed.
Member Tedder-Loffland asked when money is raised for the Tree Board where does it go? Chair Menzie said
it goes into the Norman Park Foundation, but is earmarked for Tree Board.
Member Tedder-Loffland said she no longer lives in Ward 2, but has moved to Ward 4 and wondered if that
would make a difference on her remaining on the Tree Board. Staff said being a Tree Board member is not Ward
specific; therefore, she can remain on the Board.
