City Hall City of Northfield 801 Washington Street Northfield, MN 55057 ci.northfield.mn.us Meeting Minutes - Final City Council Tuesday, March 30, 2021 3:30 PM Zoom Strategic Plan Session 3:30 PM - REGULAR AGENDA CALL TO ORDER Mayor Pownell called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m. Present: 7- Council Member Clarice Grabau, Council Member Suzie Nakasian, Council Member Brad Ness, Council Member Jessica Peterson White, Mayor Rhonda Pownell, Council Member Jami Reister, and Council Member George Zuccolotto REGULAR AGENDA 1. 21-194 Strategic Plan (2021-2023) Worksession: Environmental Scan and Organizational Profile Review and Discussion. Craig Rapp, Consultant, presented an overview of the agenda for the meeting and strategic challenges and priorities. Rapp explained how the breakout meetings in small groups will work indicating breakout meetings should determine outcomes, indicators and targets for each priority. Recess A motion was made by Council Member Peterson White, seconded by Council Member Ness, to recess the meeting at 3:50 p.m. and move into breakout meetings in small groups. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- C. Grabau, C. Nakasian, C. Ness, C. Peterson White, Mayor Pownell, C. Reister, and C. Council Members and Staff presented on the small group work facilitating discussion and revisions on outcomes, indicators and targets for each priority. Council Members commented on ideas for strategic initiatives to include economic vitality, housing availability, quality facilities, diversity, equity and inclusion, service excellence and climate action.
