City Hall City of Northfield 801 Washington Street Northfield, MN 55057 northfieldmn.gov Meeting Minutes - Final City Council Tuesday, February 18, 2025 6:00 PM Council Chambers Work Session 6:00 PM - CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AGENDA CALL TO ORDER Mayor Zweifel called the meeting to order at 6:52 p.m. Present: 7- Council Member Brad Ness, Council Member Kathleen Holmes, Council Member Davin Sokup, Council Member Jessica Peterson White, Council Member Chad Beumer, Council Member Peter Dahlen, and Mayor Erica Zweifel Also present: Police Chief Jeff Schroepfer, Facilities Manager Jayson Dwelle, Public Works Director/City Engineer David Bennett, City Administrator Ben Martig and City Clerk Lynette Peterson. REGULAR AGENDA 1. 25-097 Ice Arena Project Update/Cost Update in Preparation of Bidding. Public Works Director/City Engineer David Bennett introduced Tom Betti, JLG Architects; Brad Barickman, RJM Construction; and Chris Kennelly, Northfield Hockey Association. Betti gave an overview of the project including the current schedule, LEED Silver requirements, energy design assistance, plans and renderings. Barickman added information regarding the budget for the project. Kennelly presented on fundraising efforts stating they have raised $2.945 million to date and fundraising will continue throughout the project. Betti, Barickman, Kennelly, Bennett and City Administrator Ben Martig answered questions from the Council. ADJOURN A motion was made by Council Member Ness, seconded by Council Member Dahlen, to adjourn the meeting at 8:01 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- C. Ness, C. Holmes, C.
