City Hall City of Northfield 801 Washington Street Northfield, MN 55057 northfieldmn.gov Meeting Minutes - Final City Council Tuesday, March 11, 2025 6:00 PM Council Chambers Strategic Plan Work Session 6:00 PM - CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AGENDA CALL TO ORDER Mayor Pro Tem Davin Sokup called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. Present: 7- Council Member Brad Ness, Council Member Kathleen Holmes, Council Member Davin Sokup, Council Member Jessica Peterson White, Council Member Chad Beumer, Council Member Peter Dahlen, and Mayor Erica Zweifel Also present: Library Director Natalie Draper, Finance Director Brenda Angelstad, Public Works Director/City Engineer David Bennett, Police Chief Jeff Schroepfer, Community Development Director Jake Reilly, Assistant to the City Administrator Risi Karim, Communications and Human Resources Director Michelle Mahowald, City Administrator Ben Martig and City Clerk Lynette Peterson. Craig Rapp, Rapp Consulting Group was present as the Strategic Plan Consultant. REGULAR AGENDA 1. 25-133 2 - POST MEETING - Strategic Plan Work Session: Environmental Scan. City Administrator Ben Martig introduced Strategic Plan Consultant Craig Rapp from Rapp Consulting Group. Rapp gave background on the Strategic Plan Process to include the timeline for the process and what will be presented at tonight's meeting. Martig presented details on the Environmental Scan Organizational Profile including the internal and external environment. Rapp presented on the Boards and Commissions Meeting Summary; Community Survey Results; and Focus Groups Summary. Rapp, Martig, Asisstant to the City Administrator Risi Karim, and Community Development Director Jake Reilly answered questions from the Council. Rapp will be leading a Council/Staff Strategic Planning Retreat on Saturday, April 5. ADJOURN A motion was made by Council Member Ness, seconded by Council Member Peterson White, to adjourn the meeting at 8:04 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- C. Ness, C.
