Minutes for Norwich Baseball Stadium Authority Regular Monthly Meeting Wednesday March 14,2012 (6 P.M.) City Hall, Norwich 1. Call to order by Chairperson, MJ (6:00P.M.) NBSA members present: Michael Jewell, MJ; Peter Maneri, PM; Tom Cummings, TC; Emmett Riley, ER. Gary Schnip, GS; Peter Slocum, PS, Gary Carrigan, GC, Sean Ryan, SR. Members Absent: Bob Demars, BD Also present: CT Tigers Representatives, Bryan Barkley, and Eric Knighton Roger Moss, Director of Recreation 2. Review of February 8, 2012 NBSA meeting minutes as amended: a motion was made by PS, seconded by PM, passed (8-0). 3. Public Comment: None ..... c=» 4. Budget Committee Report PM presented NBSA balance sheet (see attached), motion made by, seconded by passed (8-0). C. Operations Committee (GSlDefenders' Representative) 1. Stadium Update (GS): a. GS discussed the assessment maintenance and upgrading of the existing fire alarm and sprinkler system with VanZelm Engineers. b. GS stated that TLA and Tom Lemons lighting consultant will be at the stadium March 26-27 for measurements and field adjustments for lighting. He also stated that Prime Electric will have the necessary bulbs in stock for replacements. 2. Organization's Monthly report: a. BB explained the current generator situation and stated he has found a replacement tank: that has a larger capacity of 300 gallons and will have a cost savings of$2300. b. BB mentioned that the parking lot has several cracks and broken areas of the pavement. He received an estimate of two different options from Paramount Paving (see attached). c. BB stated that certain areas of the stadium are in desperate need for painting, specifically the bull pens and press box. d. BB also stated that the stadium is in great condition and the irrigation system will be turned on this week. Also, ticket sales and promotions continue to be progressing well. 5. Old Business: MJ will continue to follow up with Wireless Solutions proposed lease agreement. SR had conversation with representatives from NPU regarding a Windmill. They thought it was not a good location based on a recent study. SR said he will obtain a copy of study for Authority review. 6. New Business: RM handed out a flyer regarding Norwich Recreation Bus trip to Fenway Park on July 8, 2012 and September 22,2012 (see attached). 7. Adjournment A motion to adjourn was made by PM. Seconded by SR, passed unanimously (8-0) at 6:35
