AGENDA – MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWICH FEBRUARY 16, 2010 7:30 PM PRAYER PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITY MANAGER’S REPORT CITIZEN COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS NEW BUSINESS – RESOLUTIONS 1. Relative to $4,554.39 be appropriated from the Contingency Account to support the Harbor Commission. 2. Relative to re-appointments to the Public Parking Commission. 3. Relative to appointments to the Inland, Wetlands, Water Courses and Conservation Commission. 4. Relative to appointing Ashley Sebastian as a youth member to the Youth Service Advisory Board. 5. Relative to Angela Duhaime being appointed a regular member to the Youth Service Advisory Board. CITY CLERK  RESOLUTION #1 WHEREAS, the City of Norwich received a Boat PILOT grant from the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management in January 2010 in the amount of $4,554.39 which was not anticipated; and WHEREAS, the City has historically given the Harbor Commission an annual appropriation of approximately the amount of the Boat PILOT grant. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council if the City of Norwich that $4,554.39 be, and hereby is, appropriated from the Contingency Account 01090-80086 to support the Harbor Commission. City Manager Alan H. Bergren  RESOLUTION #2 WHEREAS, the City Manager Alan H. Bergren has recommended the following re- appointments to the Public Parking Commission; Re-appointed as a regular member of the Public Parking Commission for a term to expire on 12/31/11 or until a successor is appointed: Sean Ryan (D) Olive Buddington (D) Jeffery Lord (U) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Norwich hereby approves the re-appointments of the above named to the Public Parking Commission. Mayor Peter A. Nystrom City Manager Alan H. Bergren  RESOLUTION #3 WHEREAS, the City Manager Alan H. Bergren has recommended for appointment as a regular member to fill a vacancy on the Inland, Wetlands, Water Courses and Conservation Commission for a term to expire on 6/15/12 or until a successor is appointed, the following; Brandon Hyde (R) WHEREAS, the City Manager Alan H. Bergren has recommended for re- appointment as an alternate member to the Inland, Wetlands, Water Courses and Conservation Commission for a term to expire on 6/15/12 or until a successor is appointed, the following; Robert McCoy (D) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Norwich hereby approves the appointment and re-appointment of the above named to the Inland, Wetlands, Water Courses and Conservation Commission.
