JOURNAL OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWICH APRIL 11, 2019
The first Public Hearing for the 2019-2020 fiscal year was held April 11, 2019 at 7:35 PM in Council
Chambers. Present: Mayor Nystrom, President Pro Tem Nash, Alderman Gould, Philbrick, DeLucia,
Browning, and Burnham. City Manager Salomone and Corporation Counsel Michael Driscoll were
also in attendance.
Please be advised that meetings of the Norwich City Council can be viewed
in their entirety on the City of Norwich website “norwichct.org”.
Mayor Nystrom opened the Public Hearing.
Mark Kulos, 327 Broadway, member of the Board of Education, asked for the Council to fully fund the
Board of Education Budget.
Stacy Weckwerth, 26 Flyers Dr., spoke in favor of fully funding the school budget.
Joseph Cote, 14 Julian St, member of PAL, asked the Council to support additional funds for the
Norwich Recreation Programs.
Beth Belliveau, 5 Tower Hill Rd, asked for funding for the Board of Education Budget.
John Blackburn, 15 Alice St, stated the City Managers budget was fair.
Paul Bazinet, President of PAL, asked to support the children.
Mayor Nystrom closed the Public Hearing.
Mayor Nystrom adjourned the meeting at 7:50 pm.
