MINUTES COMMISSION ON THE CITY PLAN Tuesday May 24th, 2016-12:00 P.M. 23 UNION STREET NORWICH CONNECTICUT LOWER LEVEL MEETING ROOM SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA ITEMS A, B & C-CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, DETERMINATION OF QUORUM: Art Sharron, Chairman called the meeting to order at 12:00 PM. Commission Members Present: Art Sharron, Frank Manfredi and Michael Lahan. A quorum was present. Absent: Les King, Daniel Daniska, Kathy Warzecha, and Swarnjit Singh Bhatia Also Present: Gary Evans, Planning/CD Director, Debra Delaporta, Recording Secretary D. APPROVAL OF Minutes: None E: COMMUNICATIONS: Letter from Patrick McLaughlin, City Engineer for City of Norwich- Bond estimate for SDP #1034 F: PUBLIC HEARINGS: None G: OLD BUSINESS: None H: NEW BUSINESS: SDP #1034-27, 51 & 59 Norwich Ave-Demolition of existing building and construction of an 8320 sq. ft. retail building with 36 parking spaces, loading zone and associated utilities Art Sharron read the letter from Patrick McLaughlin for SDP #1034, which stated he recommended a bond amount of $50,000. Michael Lahan asked Bill Sweeney, representing the applicant, Norwich NE Development LLC, if this was an acceptable amount and Mr. Sweeney indicated it was. Michael Lahan made a motion to accept the bond amount of $50,000 for the project, seconded by Frank Manfredi, with all members in favor. I: EXTENSIONS: None J: BOND RELEASES: None K.
