BOARD OF REVIEW, DANGEROUS BUILDINGS MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 28, 2011 MEETING Committee members present: Gary Schnip, Sofee Noblick, Jim Quarto, Richard Caron, and Andrew Zeeman. Committee members not present: H Tucker Braddock Others present: James Troeger. 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. A quorum was present. 2. Determination of a Quorum: It was determined that a quorum was present. 3. Acceptance of Minutes from August 24, 2011: The minutes of the August 24, 2011 meeting were reviewed. Upon motion by Sofee Noblick, seconded by Richard Caron, the Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes as amended. 4. Communications: None 5. Blight updates/concerns: A. 77 Chestnut Street – Jim Troeger does not have any additional information at this time. B. 53 Washington Street – Jim Troeger does not have any additional information at this time. C. 15 Curran Street – It seems work has ceased and the property has become a blight issue. He has been sent a citation. It hasn’t been contested. It is a dangerous building. The citation is with Jeremy now. Will continue working on this. D. 105-122 Chestnut Street – It is a city building. There was an agreement for the demolition of this and then transferred from the city to a private owner. E. 143-145 Rockwell Street – There was a fire approx 3 months ago. Demo hasn’t started yet. A letter has been sent but may have to send a citation if work doesn’t start soon. The property and building are secure and cleaned up. Will keep the committee updated. 6. OTHER: F. 45 Uncas – Work is currently being performed on the property but wants to keep this on the agenda for updates. G. School Street – Not sure why the property has been neglected. H. Washington Street – Property is continuing to be worked on. The owner is continuing on with repairs, slow but steady. I. 145 Wightman – There has been a citation. It is with Jeremy. Agenda Setting – The agenda for the 10/18/2011 special meeting was set. 9.
